Our Raw Material: A Modern Approach To Ancient Wisdom

Get Started Here!

All it takes is your own thoughts

Emotion Week: Our feelings are designed to move through us as naturally as the waves in the ocean. When we allow them to come and go in reaction to our internal weather, we remain clear and present to our environment. So why have we been societally conditioned to stop/stall them for so long? Control is the only answer that makes sense. Why shouldn't we be in touch with what is affecting us. Mind over matter is bunk! How about mind into matter instead? Feelings are designed to keep us connected to our cores, and this is where we find the strength we need for our challenges -- it supports ability to move our physical and emotional bodies as one.

Try this at home: Be observant from within. Identify the tensions that rise up in your body and trace them back to a feeling. This is where they need immediate acknowledgement, but also where we find the root of something bigger -- a place in our past where these same feelings were strummed and somehow ignored. This week, welcome your feelings into the light, recognizing them as part of you, and checking in on what it would take to untangle your thoughts about them. You can ease their force, a little at a time, because you let them be.
