Nature's Thought Practice 

Emotion Week asks us to do something we've spent years avoiding, collectively. It invites us to be present with how we feel so that our bodies remain clear and free to weather the next wave. Our feelings help heal us, and skipping over them or ignoring them lands them squarely in our bodies. We only find out where we've stored them when that area becomes full and starts to ache for oxygen. Neck, shoulders, low back and joints are frequent hiding places for general stress.

Try this at home: Extra exhales for clearing the effects of our emotions! Whenever you think of it, put extra exertion on your exhales to release trapped energies from old emotions that are hanging out in your body. Find joy in using the simple act of breathing as a springboard to more intricate inner healing.
